The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do
- Steve Jobs
The symbol on our logo is an ancient Adinkra symbol denoting cooperation and interdependence, “Boa me na me mmoa wo“, which translates as “Help Me and Let Me Help You“. Cooperation and interdependence are common threads running through our values.
Ubuntu
We recognise that we are because of others. In all that we do we consider the impact on others. This is central to what we do and how we do it. It is Ubuntu - and it is in our DNA.
We are Client - centric
Our clients define our value. We will deliver value to our clients. We are and aim to continue to be a valuable, valued and value-adding partner to our clients, focused on long term relationships. We aim to know our clients' businesses intimately in order to deliver solutions with real-world relevance to our clients.
We do right by our people
Our most valuable asset is the knowledge, skill, experience, energy and talent our people bring to work. Development of deep relationships with, respect for and fairness to our people form the foundation on which we build our value adding platform. We seek to make greatness a goal for each of us, attainable by all of us.
We believe in positive transformation and aim to do our part
South Africa, and Africa, have changed and are due to change some more. Businesses, including law firms, that fail/ refuse/ neglect to transform as Africa transforms will not deliver optimal results to clients doing business in Africa.rs.
We win as a team
We are more than a collection of people - we are a team. We are one firm delivering value, quality and relevance to our clients. Associate, secretary, candidate attorney, partner, facilities clerk, general hand - we are one team, the members of which each contribute to and are responsible for the delivering excellence and value to our clients. We work as a team and we win as such. No individual succeeds when the firm/ team has not.
We lift as we climb
We exist and are able to do what we do because of sacrifices made by others before us. As we grow and rise, we are acutely aware of our responsibilities to those that follow us, particularly in light of growing need in our society. We lift as we climb.
