Ayesha Seedat

Ayesha Seedat is an Associate partner of the law firm Blaq Inc (in the process of registration) and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. She is a member of the South African Law Society of the Northern Provinces and the Natal Law Society.
Ay'esha completed her high school A and O levels in Ontario, Canada. Having graduated from the Honour Roll, she returned to South Africa to study law. She completed her BA and LLB at the prestigious Howard College, University of Natal. Always having been passionate about Womens rights she then proceeded to complete an Honours degree in Gender Studies. Following her articles at Webber Wentzel, she was admitted as an attorney in 2002 in both the Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal High Courts.
She returned to Durban where she setup a legal firm called Meer Seedat Attorneys, aimed specifically at supporting small business concentrating on women. Ms Seedat is an accomplished lawyer having worked for parastatals, huge multinationals- both listed and unlisted. Through her various roles in Senior Legal management portfolios at SENTECH, LaFARGE, AFROX, Zentiva, Abafazi, Terma and Sanofi-Aventis, she has been exposed to a range of sectors and corporate cultures and her role as an independent non-executive Board member for Monash University South Africa, provided her with further insight into the non-corporate world.
